装好简单翻译后点一次工具栏图标，会打开设置页。选 OpenAI 或 DeepSeek（地址和推荐模型会自动填好），粘贴 API Key，Chrome 问能否访问该服务的地址时点允许，点「测试」确认能用。之后在任意网页点图标或按 ⌥A / Alt+A，译文会出现在每段原文下面。Install Plain Translate and click its toolbar icon once to open the settings. Pick OpenAI or DeepSeek (the address and a suggested model are filled in), paste your API key, allow access to that service's address when Chrome asks, and press Test. Then click the icon or press Alt+A (⌥A on macOS) on any page; translations appear under each paragraph.

Chrome 自带翻译用谷歌翻译把原文替换掉；简单翻译保留原文，译文放在下面，用的是你选的大模型。沉浸式翻译同样是双语对照，另外还做 PDF、视频字幕等很多功能，有自己的付费版；简单翻译只翻网页，JavaScript 约 1600 行、开源，只用你自己的 Key，没有账号和服务器。两者默认快捷键都是 ⌥A / Alt+A，同时安装时要在 chrome://extensions/shortcuts 里给其中一个换键。Chrome's built-in translation replaces the page text using Google Translate; Plain Translate keeps the original and puts the translation under it, using the LLM you choose. Immersive Translate is also bilingual and adds many more features, such as PDFs and video subtitles, with its own paid plan; Simple Translate only translates web pages, is about 1,600 lines of open-source JavaScript, uses only your own key, and has no account or server. Both default to Alt+A (⌥A on macOS), so with both installed, reassign one in chrome://extensions/shortcuts.

只在你打开翻译后，把要翻的段落文字连同翻译指令发到你设置的那个服务地址（例如 api.openai.com 或本机的 Ollama）。不发网址，不发给开发者，也没有统计。API Key 存在这个浏览器的 chrome.storage.local 里，网页本身读不到。详见隐私政策。Only after you turn translation on, the paragraphs being translated are sent, with the translation instructions, to the one service address you configured (for example api.openai.com or a local Ollama). The page URL is not sent, nothing goes to the developer, and there are no analytics. Your API key is kept in this browser's chrome.storage.local, out of the page's reach. See the privacy policy.

任何通过兼容 OpenAI 的 /chat/completions 接口提供的模型。内置预设：OpenRouter（默认 deepseek/deepseek-v4.1-flash）、OpenAI（gpt-6-luna）、DeepSeek（deepseek-chat）、本地 Ollama（qwen3）；也可以选「自定义」填任意地址。模型可以手动输入，或从服务商的模型列表里搜索。Any model served through an OpenAI-compatible /chat/completions endpoint. 扩展本身免费、开源（MIT）。翻译用的是你自己在服务商的账号，费用由服务商按它的标准价格向你收取；在本机运行的 Ollama 不需要 Key，也没有接口费用。The extension is free and open source (MIT). Translation runs on your own account with the service you pick, which bills you at its standard rates; a model running locally in Ollama needs no key and has no API charges.

还没上架，正在准备提交 Chrome 网上应用店，上架后英文名是 Plain Translate；应用店里叫 Simple Translate 的是另一位开发者的扩展。上架前从 GitHub 下载或 clone 仓库，打开 chrome://extensions，打开右上角「开发者模式」，点「加载已解压的扩展程序」，选这个文件夹。Not yet; it is being prepared for the Chrome Web Store, where it will be listed as Plain Translate. The Simple Translate listed there is a different extension by another developer. Until then, download or clone the repository from GitHub, open chrome://extensions, turn on Developer mode, click Load unpacked and select the folder.

Chrome 只在安装时、且这个组合键没被别的扩展占用时才分配快捷键，被占用也不提示。设置页里快捷键显示「未设置」时，在 chrome://extensions/shortcuts 里清掉占用它的扩展，再给简单翻译设上；设置页的「修改」直接打开这个页面。点工具栏图标始终可用。chrome:// 页面和 Chrome 网上应用店的页面不允许扩展运行。Chrome assigns a shortcut only at install time and only if no other extension holds it, without telling you. If the settings page shows the shortcut as "Not set", clear it from the other extension in chrome://extensions/shortcuts and assign it to Plain Translate; the settings page's Change button opens that page. The toolbar icon always works. Extensions cannot run on chrome:// pages or the Chrome Web Store.
