Rotap 是由个人开发者 Max Lin（法定姓名 YOUXIANG LIN，下称「我」）发布的 macOS App。本政策说明这个 App 如何处理你的数据，适用于从项目 GitHub Releases 页面下载的 Rotap。

概要

Rotap 不收集任何个人数据，不建立任何网络连接，不向你的 Mac 之外发送任何东西。录音只保存在你 Mac 上的文件夹里。

App 接触哪些数据

  • 系统声音。 你录制系统声音时，Rotap 通过 Core Audio Process Tap 读取 Mac 正在播放的声音（全部 App，或你选中的那一个 App），写入音频文件。不在录音时不读取。
  • 麦克风。 你录制麦克风时，Rotap 读取你选择的输入设备（或系统默认输入），写入同一个文件。不在录音时不读取。

网络

App 中没有任何联网代码。它不连接互联网，不连接我，也不连接任何第三方。

在你的 Mac 上保存什么

  • 录音文件：M4A 或 WAV，默认在 ~/Music/Rotap，也可以是你在设置里选的文件夹。每个文件在扩展属性里带着它的波形数据，再次打开时不用重新分析。
  • 偏好设置：输出格式、输出文件夹、录制内容、所选麦克风和界面语言，保存在 ~/Library/Preferences/app.rotap.Rotap.plist。

权限

  • 录制系统音频： macOS 要求获得此权限才能读取其他 App 的声音。首次录制系统声音时请求。
  • 麦克风： 录制你的声音所需。首次录制麦克风时请求。

你可以随时在 系统设置 → 隐私与安全性 中撤销。

统计与追踪

App 不包含任何统计分析、崩溃上报、广告或追踪代码，也没有第三方依赖。

如何删除你的数据

  1. 退出 App，把它从「应用程序」移到废纸篓。
  2. 删除 ~/Library/Preferences/app.rotap.Rotap.plist。
  3. 在 ~/Music/Rotap 或你选的文件夹里删除不再需要的录音。
  4. 在 系统设置 → 隐私与安全性 中移除 Rotap 的权限。

本政策的变更

如果 App 处理数据的方式发生变化，我会在新版本发布前或发布时更新本政策及其生效日期。

Rotap is a macOS app published by individual developer Max Lin (legal name YOUXIANG LIN; "I", "me"). This policy describes what the app does with your data. It applies to Rotap downloaded from the project's GitHub Releases page.

Summary

Rotap collects no personal data, makes no network connections, and sends nothing off your Mac. Recordings are saved only to a folder on your Mac.

What the app touches

  • System audio. When you record system audio, Rotap reads the sound your Mac is playing (all apps, or the one app you picked) through a Core Audio process tap and writes it to an audio file. It reads nothing while you are not recording.
  • Microphone. When you record the microphone, Rotap reads the input device you selected (or the system default) and writes it to the same file. It reads nothing while you are not recording.

Network

The app contains no networking code. It does not connect to the internet, to me, or to any third party.

What is stored on your Mac

  • Recordings, as M4A or WAV files in ~/Music/Rotap by default, or the folder you choose in Settings. Each file carries its waveform in an extended attribute so it opens without re-analysis.
  • Preferences: output format, output folder, capture mode, selected microphone and interface language, in ~/Library/Preferences/app.rotap.Rotap.plist.

Permissions

  • System audio recording: required by macOS to read other apps' audio. Asked the first time you record system audio.
  • Microphone: required to record your voice. Asked the first time you record the microphone.

You can revoke either at any time in System Settings → Privacy & Security.

Analytics and tracking

The app contains no analytics, crash reporting, advertising or tracking code, and has no third-party dependencies.

How to remove your data

  1. Quit the app and move it from Applications to the Trash.
  2. Delete ~/Library/Preferences/app.rotap.Rotap.plist.
  3. Delete recordings you no longer want from ~/Music/Rotap or the folder you chose.
  4. Remove Rotap's grants in System Settings → Privacy & Security.

Changes to this policy

If what the app does with data changes, I will update this policy and its effective date before or when the new version is released.
